Residential stained glass
Domes, skylights, doors, room dividers and windows in hand-painted glass — pieces designed with the architect and the homeowner, produced entirely in the studio and mounted in safety insulated glazing units.
Bespoke stained glass for private residences and luxury interiors
Stained glass, moved from sacred space into the home
The chromatic depth of painted glass, amplified by natural light, has moved from ecclesiastical architecture into contemporary residential and hospitality interiors. A well-made stained-glass panel is not a decorative accessory — it is an architectural element that changes how light, colour and privacy behave inside a room.
In private residences we most often work on staircase domes, zenithal skylights, interior doors, dividers between living and dining rooms, bathroom windows, private chapels and glazed loggias. Every commission begins with a site survey and a conversation about light, cardinal orientation and the chromatic programme of the house.
Stained glass is an art form that unites utility and beauty. The pieces of painted glass are laid out symmetrically or asymmetrically and assembled by hand in applique, in the tin-suture technique or soldered and mounted into insulated safety glazing for thermal and acoustic performance.
Techniques and materials
We use mouth-blown glass, restored antique glass, contemporary textured glass and kiln-fired painted glass (620 °C) with grisaille, enamels and silver stains. Sutures are executed in profiled lead for classical panels or in tin — the Tiffany technique — for finer compositions.
For contemporary homes, the stained glass is integrated inside safety insulated glazing units (double or triple), with insulation values comparable to standard windows. For historic homes we restore or replicate existing panels, respecting the original glass type and lead profile.
Working with architects and interior designers
We frequently collaborate with architecture practices and interior designers in Romania and abroad. We deliver scale sketches, painted maquettes and 1:1 samples for approval, with full technical specifications for tender documents.
We integrate into the site schedule: we intervene once the structure is closed and before the fine finishes, so we can measure the real openings. Installation is carried out by the studio's own team.
Project scope and lead times
A medium residential panel (2–4 m²) is produced in 8 to 14 weeks from maquette approval. Large domes and skylights are planned over 4 to 6 months. Every commission is delivered with a maintenance file and comes with a minimum 15-year structural guarantee.
